Plastic Injection Mould

Plastic injection moulding is a manufacturing process used to produce items in large industrial volumes. It is used in mass production processes where an item is delivered thousands and thousands of times.
One of America’s leading automotive supplier of interior kinetic and decorative systems approached us with the need to lift and manouevre different sized plastic injection moulds in their production area focussing on the need to do this operation safer and faster. With an evo20 automatic hook, capable of lifting up to 20,000kgs. (44,092lbs.), the lifting and transporting of the moulds is now done safely and securely, as you can see in the below video.
Plastic Injection Mould with a Unique Lifting Point
The magnet of the evo20 crane hook attracts the ring/lifting point, centers it and orients it. With the use of any of the elebia remote controls, the order to close the hook can be given. The hook then closes automatically, and when it begins the lift procedure, the load settles onto the forged hook, without any manual intervention, operating remotely from a safe distance.
Once the plastic injection mould has been transported to its final destination, and once the load is safely on the ground, the release order can be given with the same remote control.
The lifting and moving of these moulds is not limited to the evo range of crane hooks. This operation can also be handled with the the NEO range of lifting hooks. The NEO range lifting hooks are not exclusive to the lifting and transporting of bell furnaces. They are also advisable when loads are set up with oversized lifting points.
Besides the fact that productivity is increased with the use of the evo crane hooks and/or NEO lifting hooks, safety is enhanced as there is no need for an operator to climb up and down the mould and no handling is necessary to release the hook. The whole process is simply safer!
