Elebia @ ConExpo 2017
Once more, elebia hit the road and we were proud to be present for the first time at CONEXPO-CON/AGG & IFPE, the biggest international trade show for the construction industries.
The expo, which took place at Las Vegas from March 7th to 11, was represented with more than 2.500 exhibitors, 8 halls, over 2,500,000 square feet and more than 150 education sessions including asphalt, aggregates, concrete, earthmoving, lifting, mining, utilities and more. From contractors to dealers & distributors, service providers, engineers and producers, thousands of construction professionals from across all disciplines and from around the globe had a chance to discover our products.
During our 5 days at the fair we had time to show to any attendee who stopped by our booth at the Gold Hall our range of automatic hooks and accessories including the lightest and smallest evo2 model. The demos by our team as well as the latest and updated videos on our video wall demonstrating the hook’s different applications left more than one attendee in awe… Although not everything came down to showing our range of automatic hooks and accessories to the general public.
A lot of networking took place, and we’re very satisfied with the outcome. Different leads before the show have lead to possible cooperations with truck cranes companies from Europe, rigging shops from the US and even NASCAR. Previous bonds with both clients and distributors were strengthened…
The show gave us the possibility to negotiate deals with new distribution partners in the US that will open new markets in the northeast and southwest regions of the country as well as Alaska, distributors in Western Canada that will consolidate our position in the region, new partners in Australia with links to a wide variety of industries, new markets in Japan and Korea, and specially in target countries and markets of South America like Uruguay, Argentina, Brazil and Peru.
One of the markets within the industry where our automatic hooks are highly regarded is concrete, and specially concrete prefabs. New contacts were made, temptative negotiations took place and potential sales and contracts are expected in Q2 from our presence at CONEXPO. Other markets where strong initial contacts were made were scrap metal, chemical, pipeline and, of course, construction.
We took time to strengthen our bonds with the media, meet and chat with our contacts from various magazines, brainstorm about how to spread the elebia word to the rest of the world and upgraded our social media skills tweeting like never before.
Next stop, Breakbulk Europe in Antwerp, Belgium, 24-26 of April. See you there!
